Function

Copies the graphics in the graphic selection rectangle to the clipboard in bitmap (with palette) and device-independent bitmap (DIB) formats.

Activating Procedure

Before the graphics can be copied to the clipboard, the graphic selection rectangle must be drawn (by holding the right mouse button down and dragging in the graphics area. See also Drawing a Selection Rectangle). When drawn, the normally dimmed Copy command on the File menu is enabled. With the graphics area defined, a copy to the clipboard is invoked as follows:

              In the Edit menu click on Copy.

               Choose Edit Copy (ALT, E, C).

Special Considerations

When a copy to the clipboard function is performed, both bitmap and DIB formats are available. You cannot choose one over the other.
