Using the Go to Range… function on a compressed waveform (compression value greater than 1) will often result in the displayed data disagreeing with the search range. This is because the Go to Range… function looks at individual data values, and a compressed waveform is many individual data values compressed to form one line segment. The obvious solution is to make sure the waveform is uncompressed when using this function.
When using the Go to Time… function and the specified time falls in a gap, falls before the first data point, or falls after the last data point in the file, an appropriate error message is displayed and the cursor is placed at the next point after the gap, at the beginning of the file, or at the end of the file.
