Microsoft Excel 2003 instructions
1. Go to the Tools menu and click on Add-Ins.
2. Un-check the WinDaq XL option and click OK.
3. Right click on the WinDaq/XL toolbar and un-check WinDaq/XL. This will remove the WinDaq/XL toolbar from Excel. Exit Excel.
4. In Windows, go to Add/Remove programs. Un-install WDQ_XL.
Microsoft Excel 2007 instructions
1. In Excel, click on the Status button on the WinDaq/XL toolbar. Check the box "Delete/Create New Toolbar on Start." If this box is not checked, the WinDaq/XL toolbar will remain in Excel even once WinDaq/XL has been un-installed.
2. Click on the Microsoft Office button and click Excel Options.
3. Click on the Add-Ins Category.
4. Select Excel Add-Ins from the Manage: drop-down box.
5. Click on the Go button.
6. In the Add-Ins available box, un-check the box next to WinDaq/XL.
7. Click OK. Exit Excel.
8. In Windows, go to Add/Remove programs. Un-install WDQ_XL.
Microsoft Excel 2010 instructions
1. In Excel, click on the Status button on the WinDaq/XL toolbar. Check the box "Delete/Create New Toolbar on Start". If this box is not checked, the WinDaq/XL toolbar will remain in Excel even once WinDaq/XL has been un-installed.
2. Click on the File tab and click on Options (under Help).
3. In the Excel Options window select Add-Ins.
4. Select Excel Add-Ins from the Manage: drop-down box.
5. Click on the Go button.
6. In the Add-Ins available box, un-check the box next to WinDaq/XL.
7. Click OK. Exit Excel.
8. In Windows, go to Add/Remove programs. Un-install WDQ_XL.
If after following the instructions above, you cannot get rid of all the components in the previous version try this.
1. Search for all files named "windaqxl.xla" using Windows' Search Utility (click on Start menu and choose Search > For Files or Folders).
2. Delete all found instances of "windaqxl.xla" by highlighting the file and pressing the delete key.
3. Launch Microsoft Excel. Excel should complain about not finding "windaqxl.xla" - if it doesn't you haven't deleted them all - go back to step 1 and make sure all instances of "windaqxl.xla" are deleted.
You can now reinstall WinDaq/XL.
