Using Remote Storage (Start/Stop) at Low Sample Rates

Go back to Remote Control.

When in stand-alone mode and using Remote Storage (Start/Stop), recording begins immediately at the point the Remote Storage state is true (i.e., if the default is used (Low True), when D0 is at 0V you will begin acquiring data samples). Remote Start will always record at least 4 samples per channel before you can use Remote Stop. D0 (Remote Start/Stop) will be sampled after the 4 scans are completed. If D0 at that time is in a state that allows recording, storage will continue without generating another Start. Otherwise the next scan will not be stored, and storage will only resume when the Remote Storage state is true again.

You can stop recording at any point in the data file by using the push button or the Stop Recording to SD Memory command without the 4 scan requirement.

Assuming the Default configuration of the Remote Storage digital bit (Low True), use the following diagram to examine how data samples are taken when recording at a low sample rate and using the Remote Storage option.

See also Sample Rate for more information about recording at low sample rates.
