Reset Count on New File Record

Note: This feature is for DI-149, DI-155, DI-1110, DI-1120, DI-2008, DI-2108, DI-4108, and DI-4208 Counter channels only.

The Reset Count on New File Record preference allows you to reset the counts in Channel 11 of DI-149, DI-155, and DI-2108 instruments back to zero every time you record to a new file with the Edit > Preferences > Record Next File on Full feature enabled.

The counter channel accumulates counts over time whether recording or in standby mode as soon as the Counter channel is enabled. The accumulated values will be recorded to your data file unless you reset the counts to zero. The maximum count value is 16,383 (65,535 for the DI-2108) before the counter resets to zero automatically.

Use the Edit > Reset Count command in WINDAQ Acquisition software to reset counts immediately to zero. This feature is available in both standby and record modes.

Use the Edit > Preferences > Reset Count on Manual Record in WINDAQ Acquisition software to reset counts to zero every time you begin recording a data file using the File > Record command (F4).

To enable this preference (if disabled) or disable it (if enabled):

In the Preferences sub-menu click on Reset Count on New File Record.

Choose Edit Preferences Reset Count on New File Record (ALT, E, P, N).

When Reset Count on New File Record is enabled, a check mark is displayed on the Edit Preferences submenu immediately preceding the Reset Count on New File Record command.
